For my mother, Maureen, who
is 70 years young and has multiple myeloma (a terminal cancer in the
bone marrow). And for my father, Bill, who is almost 73 years young
and is my mother's primary and basically only caregiver. I live
1,100 miles away. I want very badly to move back there with them. I
am on disability and financially it's difficult to make the move.
With God's help and through many prayers, I know it will happen.

require testing for newborn screening for diseases that might be
treatable. For those who cannot be cured, I pray that they might
find a better quality of life.

My 85-year-old mother passed away October 19. I am
her youngest child and her only daughter. We were very close and
loved each other dearly. Now I am left with my 86-year old father
who is mourning the loss of his wife of 65 years, but in the
meantime, I have lost my mom. I'm sad, but try to remain strong for
him. I know where my mom is (she received the sacraments of
the Church all hr life) and am joyful of that, but her loss and my
dad's grief are heavy on my heart. I just want prayers of strength
now . . . from anyone.

My husband Ralph and I have moved my parents into
our home just 7 weeks ago, and we are still in the early stages of
getting adjusted. My dad doesn't really want to be here, but he has
carcinoid cancer (incurable) and other health problems. My husband
was laid off from work just before they moved in. The stress level

It is a very difficult time for my family right
now. My sister is suffering from a tumor in her brain. She is
getting extremely weak. Her husband who has stood by her side the
entire illness, as well as their entire marriage, is losing faith in
God and in himself. He needs prayers, strength from something bigger
than himself. He is as weak as her in many ways. Please include him
and her in the prayer list. Maybe one day when he is stronger, we
can look back and say, it was through the intercession of St. John

Pray for strength for me as I continue to be a
caregiver for a mother who fell and broke her leg. During this time
she has also developed some dementia and this has become very

years.

medical leave) to care for her and my FMLA is over come the end of
February so my job called me to let me know that if I wasn't at work

small stroke and I told her don't worry because if a job can do this
to a person for caring for her mother than I guess it was meant to
be, and I said to myself I only have one MOTHER and there are more
