Dear Friends,
You know the Christmas story of poor, dear Joseph. Desperately searching for a place for a very-pregnant Mary and the soon-to-be-born child. His situation is a good reminder to say prayers this holiday season, and throughout the year, for caregivers now seeking a "room in the inn" for their loved one.
A room in a nursing home, an assisted living facility, a group home. Or a way to find, and afford, care for a loved one at home. Often, perhaps almost always, the hunting includes a feeling of desperation, of uncertainty, of fear. Many times with the clock ticking.
Let's pray for them, right here, right now.
"Dear Holy Family, be with caregivers seeking a 'room in the inn' for their loved one. Help them find what they need, and give them moments of rest and peace. Amen."
