I had to take a FMLA (family and medical leave) to care for her and my FMLA is over come the end of February so my job called me to let me know that if I wasn't at work on the 1st of March they would let me go. (I don't think an employer should be able to do this.) Mom was very upset until she had another small stroke and I told her don't worry because if a job can do this to a person for caring for her mother than I guess it was meant to be, and I said to myself I only have one MOTHER and there are more jobs out there and I am going to take care of her because she needs me like I needed her when I was brought into this world. Now It's her time to be taking care of.

Please pray for my brother, Tom. He has been diagnosed with ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. He is 59, single, lives alone. My husband and I moved back to NH from MD to be with him and help him. He will be participating in a clinical trial with Thalidomide at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. His first appointment is December 13th. I pray that this trial will help to delay the progression of the disease.
