Dear Friends,
This year the feast of Pentecost is Sunday, May 28.
As you probably know, it celebrates the Holy Spirit descending on the Apostles and giving them ...
That's right: wisdom and courage and more! Including understanding and knowledge.
It's also a perfect day to ask the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity for a boost with those and your other caregiving needs.
More sleep, more patience, and more help from others come to mind.
Just as you want to take care of your loved one, the Holy Spirit wants to take care of you as he took care of the Apostles when they felt so overwhelmed following Jesus' Ascension into heaven.
All caregivers are more than familiar with that emotion.
It may help you to realize, to remember, that just as Jesus chose his twelve apostles, God asked you to be your loved one's caregiver.
Your care-receiver is his beloved child.
The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are with you on Pentecost, on every day, through every night.
Now and forever.
(And God never forgets that caregiving hard!)
